After my addiction to Subway Surfers which I wrote about here, I am now hooked and addicted more than ever to the most popular game not only in Facebook but to all smartphone/tab users too, the Candy Crush Saga.
Along with the other 45.6 million players, I’ve been a fanatic of this game for several months now. I was actually hesitant to join the Candy Crush bandwagon because I first thought it was just like any other puzzle games (ex.Bejeweled Blitz) but when I started playing it, I found the game amusing and rather challenging.
For those who doesn’t know and play the game (Warning: Do not download Candy Crush if you’re not ready to get hooked to the game ), Candy Crush Saga is an addictive game wherein players need to match and crush colored candies with the help of special candies and boosters. Each level also has a different type of obstacle (ex. chocolates, meringue, whipped cream puff, licorice, chocolate fountain, locked candies, exploding cakes, jelly ) that you need to surpass in order to move on to the next level. And oh, tickets are also needed to unlock the next episode and you can get tickets by sending a request to your Candy Crush playing Facebook friends or by buying a ticket for $0.99 each.
Different type of obstacles in Candy Crush Saga
I’m not writing this post to teach anyone how to play Candy Crush, there are already a gazillion of websites and blogs doing that, just simply type Candy Crush in the Google search bar and voila, anything you need to know about Candy Crush will be there. Actually, I wrote this post to rant about my extreme frustration over Level 410, Episode 28 of Candy Crush. Grrrrrr!! I’ve been stucked in Level 410 for weeks now and I just can’t seem to find the right strategy and the lucky board to get me through is effin’ level!
Level 410 may look simple compared to the other levels before it, but believe me its not. What made this level complicated? The bad combination of 4 different types of obstacles: double jellies, licorice, time bombs and the very annoying chocolate fountain. I guess the closest I was to finishing this level was when I was left with only 7 jellies to blow up. And that was it! After that attempt, I never made it that close to finishing this level. I’ve seen different video tutorials on how to successfully finish Level 410, but again, the videos are only giving tips on possible ways to end this level because of course, each of us are given a different game board to play. I’m still waiting for my lucky board that will enable me to finish this freaking level.
Stucked in Level 410 along with 2 of my friends, we’re just one step away from the next episode. Bummer!
As much as I want to try and finish this level over and over again, unfortunately, King (the developer of Candy Crush Saga) hasn’t released the latest update for iPhone/iPad. Currently, the level available for all smartphones/tabs is only up to 395 but actually, Candy Crush already have 440 levels when played on a laptop/desktop computer. Sadly, my trusty old laptop is totally useless since it needs a total overhaul. I only get to play Candy Crush when my husband is at home and not using his laptop which is totally rare coz’ he’s always busy with work.
Anyhow, I hope to finish this level the soonest because I am so excited to try another level with a new obstacle. May the force be with me! LOL

Update: At long last, I finally defeated Level 410!! Yeeehheeyy!! But sadly, out of frustration, I used 2 lollipops to end the level. Sorry, I just had to! I can’t bear being stuck in 410 for another week. I’m currently on Level 415 and what’s the new obstacle? Annoying Tornados! Grrrr..
